1. Welcome to Buy This Square
These Terms explain the rules for using https://buythissquare.com, listing a product in the directory, and purchasing squares on the homepage grid. By using the Website, signing in, submitting a listing, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms, our Advertising Content Policy , and our Privacy Policy . If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you act for a company or another organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
2. Definitions
- “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Buy This Square.
- “Website”means https://buythissquare.com.
- “Account” means the account created when you sign in with Google.
- “Listing” means a product page in the directory, including its name, homepage link, descriptions, categories, pricing information, logo, and screenshot.
- “Placement” means a homepage grid square purchased to promote one of your approved Listings, together with its image and the Listing's name and homepage link.
- “You” means the person or organization accessing or purchasing from the Website.
3. Accounts
Submitting a Listing or buying a Placement requires signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity in your Account and for keeping your Google account secure. We may suspend an Account that is used for fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or other violations of these Terms; a suspended Account cannot sign in.
4. Directory listings
Listings are free. Submit only products that you own or are authorized to represent. Before submitting, you add our badge to your homepage, linking to the exact product page we prepare for you. Every Listing is reviewed before publication and may be approved, rejected, or returned to review.
A verified badge enables a dofollow website link on the product page for up to 30 days after the latest successful verification. We may check the badge again at any time, and you can verify it again from your account . Directory card links use nofollow. The contact email you provide is never shown publicly.
We may edit Listing details for accuracy, formatting, or compliance with these Terms, return a Listing to review, or remove it. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, placement in specific categories, or search engine rankings.
5. Homepage squares
The homepage grid is a public digital canvas. Each purchase covers one available 40 × 40 pixel square that promotes one of your approved Listings. You choose the Listing and the square, then use the Listing's logo or upload an image. The Listing's current name and homepage identify the Placement.
A Placement is shown only while its Listing remains approved. If the Listing is rejected or returned to review, the Placement is hidden while its purchase record and square remain reserved. We may move a Placement to another available square or temporarily hide it when needed to operate the grid, resolve a report, or apply these Terms; a hidden Placement keeps its square.
Placements are intended to remain visible for the operational life of the grid. The word “permanent” describes that intention; it does not transfer ownership in Buy This Square or guarantee that the Website will exist forever. We also do not promise any specific number of views, clicks, leads, rankings, or sales.
6. Lawful use
You agree to provide accurate information and use the Website only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for the Listings and Placements you submit. We may reject or remove them, or block access, in cases of fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or any violation of these Terms.
7. Purchases and payments
The price of one square and the complete charge are displayed before checkout. Starting checkout reserves the selected square for 30 minutes; an unpaid reservation then expires and the square becomes available again. A Placement becomes active only after the payment is confirmed.
Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, using the email address of your Account. Creem may handle applicable taxes, fraud checks, receipts, and refunds under its own checkout terms. By completing checkout, you authorize the amount shown.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give us permission to host, resize, re-encode, display, link, archive, and promote that content as reasonably necessary to operate the directory and the grid.
You confirm that your Listings and Placements:
- Are owned by you or used with all necessary permissions.
- Are accurate and do not impersonate, defraud, or mislead visitors.
- Do not violate privacy, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Do not contain or promote malware, phishing, hate, harassment, exploitative content, illegal goods or services, or other harmful material.
- Do not contain, promote, advertise, or link to pornography, adult entertainment, NSFW, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content or services.
- Do not contain, promote, advertise, or link to illegal or recreational drugs, controlled substances, cannabis or CBD, drug paraphernalia, pharmacies, pharmaceuticals, prescription or non-prescription medicines, medical drugs, nutraceuticals, or related offers.
These categories are prohibited even when the product, service, or content is lawful in your location. We may reject or remove content that breaks these rules or creates legal, payment-processing, security, or reputational risk. This does not limit the seven-day refund promise below. Changes requested after publication are considered individually and are not guaranteed. See our Advertising Content Policy for the complete standards.
9. Our seven-day refund promise
We want every purchase to feel straightforward and confident. If you change your mind for any reason, you may request a full refund during the first seven (7) calendar days after payment. You do not need to justify your decision, and the guarantee applies even if the Placement has already been published.
To request it, email support@buythissquare.com from the email address of your Account and include the order reference. The request must reach us within that seven-day period. We aim to respond within three business days.
Refunds are issued through Creem to the original payment method; the time required for the credit to appear depends on the payment provider and financial institution. Once the refund is confirmed, the Placement is removed and its square may become available again. Your directory Listing is not affected. After the seven-day period, purchases are final except where a refund is required by applicable law.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep the Website reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or the availability of third-party services and destination websites.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buy This Square is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, traffic, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid for the Placement giving rise to the claim. Legal rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
